La Villa Maurice

Beautiful room at Villa Maurice... I slept like a baby...

Great location, close to a large park and public transport access. The staff were friendly and our room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast and coffee were delicious and of excellent quality. Highly recommend.

Attention to detail, refinement, and a warm welcome are the hallmarks of Villa Maurice. The tasteful decor, spacious rooms, and high-quality bedding (sleep on a cloud, anyone?) are all part of a delicious breakfast with a wonderfully attentive host... there's nothing to criticize about this place. A true delight. The room overlooking the garden is an added bonus, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep in the city... Absolutely perfect! Just steps from the tram that takes you to a train station or metro, Villa Maurice is ideally located. This will be my home base when I'm in Brussels.

A perfect experience from beginning to end. The hotel is truly magnificent; the renovations are splendid and add tremendous charm. The decor is exceptional, and the welcome is attentive and warm. You feel right at home in a cozy and refined setting. A real gem. An address to recommend without hesitation.

Everything was perfect. Superb, spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated accommodation in a grand townhouse. Countless thoughtful touches ensured a pleasant stay down to the smallest detail, including the owner's kindness and helpful advice. Quiet neighborhood near the Bois de la Cambre park and easy access to Brussels' historic center.

The house, a typical Brussels landmark, is located between the Bois de la Cambre park, the Abbey of the same name, and the student quarter of Ixelles Cemetery. There are worse places to be. It has just been completely renovated with obvious flair. Beautiful details abound wherever you look: the window frames, the central kitchen accessible for breakfast, the antique furniture perfectly restored, the lovely wallpaper, the incredible lamp, the seventies armchairs in our room… Everything has been thought out, considered, and chosen. And all with impeccable taste. As for comfort, there's nothing to complain about. Ultra-comfortable bedding that managed the feat—rare enough to be worth mentioning—of pleasing us both; a small elevator that saves us the chore of lugging our luggage; plush carpeting that feels like sinking into every step… We're truly at home. And I finished with a breakfast just the way we like it: not a buffet overflowing with mediocre fare, but a (not so) small selection of good, well-sourced, and local products: yogurt from Ferme du Tambourin, jams from Ferme des 12 Bonniers (and their amazing chocolate-hazelnut), honey from a Belgian beekeeper, coffee from Corica, fresh eggs, and lovely cheeses whose origin I unfortunately didn't catch. Only four rooms, all quite spacious, a small urban garden perfect for sunny days, a pleasant lounge: it has everything you could want. The kind of top-notch place you wish you could find in every city you visit.
