When we can't believe our own eyes — on AI, deepfakes, truth and digital judgment
About the event
Artificial intelligence makes it easier to create images, voices, messages, and stories that seem real but are not necessarily so. Deepfakes, fake profiles, manipulated images, and targeted scams challenge our trust in what we see and hear.
In this lecture, Pernille Tranberg focuses on truth and digital judgment in a time when the fake can look like the real. How can we see through manipulation without becoming suspicious of everything? What does data ethics mean when our information is used to influence us? And how can we, as citizens, parents, users, and fellow human beings, maintain responsibility, trust, and freedom in a digital reality that is becoming increasingly difficult to decipher?
A afternoon about AI, deepfakes, misinformation, and truth — and about how we can practice digital judgment without losing trust in each other.
Pernille Tranberg is a data ethics advisor, speaker, and co-founder of DataEthics.eu. For many years, she has worked with data ethics, digital literacy, technological understanding, and the questions that arise when digital platforms and artificial intelligence gain increasing power over our everyday lives, our choices, and our view of the world.
Communal Dining Today, we eat together after the lecture. There are limited seats and registration is required. See below.
Human in an Artificial Age At Eliaskirken, we gather for a lecture series titled Meaning, Faith & Ethics about the questions that shape our lives, our communities, and our way of being human.
