Avenue Hotel Copenhagen

Avenue Hotel, on Åboulevard in Frederiksberg, is a design hotel in a 19th-century building, listed as gay-friendly - though it's not a specifically gay venue. You'll find stylish rooms with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The private courtyard is where breakfast is served when the weather's good. There's also a lounge bar with sofas and a fireplace. It's a 20-minute walk to the city centre and Copenhagen's gay bars around Rådhuspladsen and the Latin Quarter. Or you can catch a bus from outside the door - it's just a few minutes. The lakes and Nørrebro are close by too. You can walk to the lakes in about the same time it takes to get to the centre.
