Pohjois-Karjala Pride

Pohjois-Karjala Pride (North Karelia Pride) is Joensuu's Pride: a short parade followed by a park picnic, run by the regional LGBTIQ group Pohjois-Karjalan Seta together with ISYY, the University of Eastern Finland student union.

The 2026 edition was on Saturday 23 May. The parade left Suvantosilta bridge at 1 pm and reached Ilosaari park around 2 pm for a family café, stalls and a picnic, with an official afterparty at Kerubi from 9 pm (tickets via Kide.app). In 2025, on 17 May, the theme was "Queer Joy" and the route started at the Onni art museum. Harassment contact people are on site under Seta's safer-space rules.

The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked; recent editions have been on a Saturday in mid to late May.
