It would be nice if there was a shoehorn in the room. It was nice, good hotel!

I had a genuinely positive experience staying at GreenStar Hotel Joensuu during my visit to Finland. The hotel is simple, affordable, and not marketed as a luxury property, yet it offered something I value deeply when traveling: thoughtful and caring hospitality. What stood out most was the staff. Every time I needed assistance or had a question, they were approachable, kind, and willing to help. Their attitude created a welcoming atmosphere that made the stay feel comfortable and stress-free. I also appreciated the practical amenities available to guests, including a kettle in the room and access to a shared kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, and crockery. These small details made a big difference, especially for a work-related stay. This experience reminded me that hospitality is not only about expensive décor or upscale branding. Sometimes a modest hotel with attentive staff and practical comforts leaves a far stronger impression than a much more expensive property.

Self-check in experience was absolutely awful. Confusing and constantly bugged. Took 45 minutes to get in.

Great location, friendly service, clean rooms. Breakfast is also good, you can choose something and eat in peace.
