About the event
On Friday, October 17, 2025, the Paris Centre City Hall hosted the official ceremony announcing that the French capital will be the host of Global Black Pride 2026. Organized in partnership with the City and the associations Arc Essentiel, Afrique Arc-en-ciel, Divine LGBTQ+, STOP homophobie and Liquorice, this edition will mark a historic first in France and a major step for the visibility of Black LGBTQIA+ people. After Atlanta in 2024, Paris thus becomes the next host city, confirming its place in the international movement for equal rights and the fight against discrimination.From September 9 to 13, 2026, the capital will vibrate to the rhythm of five days of celebrations combining culture, activism, and pride.The program will open on September 9 with an inaugural reception, a partners' cocktail, and a press conference.On the 10th, the Global Black Queer Assembly, under the theme “Power. Culture. Innovation.”, will take place in the heart of the GBP Village, accompanied by exhibitions and concerts.The 11th will be marked by the Black Excellence Trans Rally and the Black Excellence Awards Gala, which will highlight the journeys and talents of Black LGBTQIA+ people.On September 12, the Global Black Pride March will cross the capital before a grand musical festival and the official evening party.Finally, on the 13th, the celebration will conclude with a Day Party and several partner events throughout the city.
