About this place Hotel Jules & Jim

Hotel Jules & Jim is a boutique design hotel located in central Paris, positioned between two of the city's most dynamic neighbourhoods: the historic Marais and the lively République area. This LGBTQ+-friendly property offers a stylish base for exploring one of Europe's most welcoming capitals. Paris has long been a destination for LGBTQ+ travellers, and the Marais district is the heart of the city's gay scene, filled with bars, restaurants, shops, and cultural venues. Staying in this area puts you within walking distance of much of what makes Paris's LGBTQ+ community thrive. As a boutique design hotel, you can expect thoughtful architecture and décor that reflects contemporary sensibilities, rather than the standardised feel of larger chain properties. Whether you're visiting Paris for its cultural attractions, vibrant nightlife, or simply to experience its renowned café culture and charm, this hotel provides accommodation designed with all guests in mind. For practical information and to check availability, rates, and specific amenities, visit the hotel's website at https://www.hoteljulesetjim.com. Hotel Jules et Jim is an absolute gem in the heart of Le Marais in Paris's 3rd arrondissement. The location is perfect, with endless food options nearby. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, especially Simon, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything during our stay. We stayed in the duplex suite since we were traveling with a lot of luggage, and it provided the perfect amount of space. The bathtub was absolutely luxurious and a wonderful place to unwind after a day of exploring Paris. From the street, the hotel is quite unassuming, but inside you'll find a charming, artsy courtyard bar where you can enjoy coffee and breakfast during the day or cocktails in the evening. Without a doubt, this is my favorite hotel I've stayed at in Paris. We will definitely be back!

Very disappointing stay overall. I won't be staying again at this hotel and suspect an Airbnb would have been much better. We ultimately left a day early because we were disappointed in the hotel. The hotel didn't try to make it right - they just refused to refund the money and asked us to vacate the room early (presumably so they could flip it). Rooms: I stayed in one of the Hi-Mac rooms, which, as other reviewers mention, are incredibly cramped due to their design. A particular limitation of these rooms is their circular design around the bed and the lack of ability to open a window to let in air. They are also one big room, including the shower, so the shower has made the carpet wet over time and led to a general smell of mildew in the room. Service: The service vibe is sort of "hostel" in nature. The guys at the front desk will step away to take personal calls. We got laundry done and it arrived a day late. The general level of service is just quite poor.
