About This Event
ExisTransInter is Paris's yearly march for trans and intersex rights. It started in 1997 as Existrans. In 2019 it was renamed to give intersex demands equal billing. It is a protest march, not a festival. For years the demands have included legal gender recognition without medical conditions, access to trans healthcare and an end to non-consensual surgery on intersex children.
The march is organised by a coalition of trans and intersex associations, not by one group. Unions and NGOs join with their own contingents; the CGT union, for example, has called its members out for 2026. It is held on an October afternoon in central Paris and recently has gathered at Place de la République.
The 2026 march is on Saturday 17 October, gathering at 2pm at Place de la République, according to the CGT's call published on 12 October. It is free and you don't need to register. Check the organisers' channels on the day for the final route.
The 2025 march, the 28th, gathered at Place de la République on 18 October 2025, so 2026 is the 29th.
