I can’t even rate this place properly, even though i wanted to. It seems like they forgot to update their online opening times,which is absolutely unacceptable for such an institution. I travelled 30 minutes in the metro, just to stand infront of closed doors, imagine the disappointment of somebody who was excited and happily looking forward for a lunch at “H”. Would like to come back, but I’ll make sure to have a second choice closeby

Amazing culinary experience

My partner and I enjoy sharing a refined, subtle, and surprising culinary experience. We've already had the pleasure of sampling the cuisine of several incredible chefs in intimate and very pleasant settings. It's always been enchanting, except for this time. Being in Paris this past May Day weekend, we decided to try the cuisine at Restaurant H. The dishes were indeed divine. Each one was an explosion of flavors. There's absolutely nothing to criticize. We opted for the seven-course tasting menu. However, I'm left with a bitter taste from this evening. It turns out I'm allergic to shellfish, and crustaceans are far from my cup of tea. So, we asked if it would be possible to substitute the shellfish so that I could still enjoy the seven-course menu, just like my partner. This is what we request in every fine restaurant (including Michelin-starred ones) we're fortunate enough to visit, and it's never been a problem for the chef. Some even anticipate our requests by asking if we have any allergies. Imagine my surprise when I was told it wouldn't be possible. No alternative dish was offered. I must admit that, given the restaurant's prestige and the price of the set menus, I found this truly disappointing. So I had to watch my partner enjoy his meal and wait for us to move on to the next course... When it came time for dessert, I asked if I could exchange a cheese plate for one, or even both, of the desserts on offer. That way, the chef wouldn't have had to prepare them. I love good cheese and I confess I have absolutely no sweet tooth. Again, what would normally be no problem became an issue. I was told in the negative that if I wanted cheese, it would be an extra charge! I was at least expecting a cheese trolley to arrive, and to my surprise, my cheese plate was already pre-selected. I wasn't even able to choose which cheeses I wanted. I found this a bit of a bitter pill to swallow, and it completely ruined my appetite. I didn't eat any of the desserts that were served. The otherwise delightful culinary experience my partner and I enjoy at fine restaurants was spoiled that evening by the service and the chef's attitude. We find this regrettable and will therefore not be returning to this restaurant.

A mixed experience. Unfortunately, the cuisine lacked character, flair, originality, and creativity. The flavor combinations were quite classic and overused. The fish was overcooked and not at all pearly white, which was a shame because the accompanying sauce was very good. The food was too simple for me, despite an interesting razor clam starter and a light and pleasant kiwi and cardamom dessert. We must point out that the presentation of the dishes was well done and beautiful. As for the service, the waiter wasn't very professional, especially for a one-Michelin-starred restaurant (he left the cutlery crooked on the table and spoke to the customer in a somewhat casual manner, which wasn't very pleasant). The waitress, however, was very polite and professional. So, this is an experience that needs improvement, especially when you expect a one-Michelin-starred experience (and are paying the price for an experience of this caliber).

We had a great time yesterday. The dishes introduced us to a variety of flavors! Attentive service.

I was looking forward to this meal based on the positive reviews, but oh boy, was it the opposite. The second I walked in, the female waiter greeted me with the most blank expression, zero ounce of excitement to be there. Someone like this shouldn't work in fine dining. A restaurant that earns a Michelin star should know that service is a key factor that differentiates it from other restaurants. The sommelier was a bit cold, but definitely better than the woman. This woman server, I would say from my fine dining adventures, is the worst server and has the worst attitude I have seen. She should stop working there. Now let's talk about the food. Nothing impressive. The veal was the standout, very tender, the sauce was rich but not overly heavy. The dessert was bland, boring. The fish was tender but nothing separating it from just a great brasserie. Overall, Restaurant H is overrated and it does not deserve its one Michelin star. I wouldn't be surprised if Michelin takes the star away in the near future. They need to step up. Also, the kitchen had zero energy. Where is that passion, guys? Come on. This is Paris.

To be precise, I wasn't able to go. That is because they canceled a reservation I made months ago the day before? Or on the day itself? What on earth are they trying to do by canceling a reservation made months in advance? Is this racism? I can't believe there is a Michelin-starred restaurant that doesn't even realize the risks of overbooking. Most places would at least give you a corner seat if there were no tables available. But here, they called to cancel, and their attitude over the phone was truly infuriating. Exactly as it was: "There are no seats available" (even when I asked why, they just said there weren't any) / When I asked if there was a solution, they said there wasn't (meaning changing the time was impossible) / When I asked if they could reserve another restaurant, they said that wasn't possible either. What am I supposed to do? Is it like, "I canceled, so you figure it out yourself"? This kind of restaurant lacks even the basic professionalism expected of a service industry. This was the worst experience I had during my summer vacation. Thanks to this restaurant, I had to make a last-minute reservation at a new place, but since that place wasn't very good either, I feel even worse. In my life, this was the first time I encountered such an unfriendly attitude from a customer service representative over the phone.

Excellent service! Exotic food. Very pleasant atmosphere.

We had a wonderful time; everything was in place for that: attentive and responsive service staff who took the time to chat with us. The cuisine delighted all the senses. Beautiful presentation, delicious dishes—every bite was a surprise and an explosion of flavors.
