Ile du Ramier

The wooded paths of the Ile du Ramier, the island between the two arms of the Garonne, are the best-known outdoor gay cruising area in Toulouse. The usual zone is off the Chemin de la Loge, reached by footpath into flat, partly shaded parkland, and there is activity both in the day and after dark. The island is being redeveloped by the city into a large park, so paths and quiet corners keep moving and some areas may be fenced off. Be discreet, as other people use the park too, keep valuables to a minimum and take more care at night.
