via Stay22About this place Kumpelnest 3000
Kumpelnest 3000, at 23 Lützowstraße in Berlin, is a legendary gay bar, but that’s an understatement. It was a brothel. Now it’s one of Berlin’s most distinctive queer spaces, and it kept the rough, unapologetic spirit of its past.
The place is crammed floor-to-ceiling with kitsch, old junk, and whatever else caught someone’s eye. It’s a time capsule that feels lived-in, not designed. Think of it as the anti-club, the opposite of sleek or sanitized.
What makes it work is the atmosphere, and the people it pulls in. You’ll see genuine characters, a lot of regulars, many of them with long ties to Berlin’s queer history. The bar hums, especially on weekends. It’s a social spot that feels real, not put on. If you like dive bars, vintage charm, and a place where Berlin’s queer culture feels tangible, you should go.
Check kumpelnest3000.com for hours and more info. Kumpelnest 3000 feels distinctly Berlin: unpretentious, welcoming, and wonderfully weird.

I have to agree with the last comments. If I were looking for a good time with good music, I wouldn't go here.
We were threatened by the Arab bouncer. WITHOUT any apparent reason. Be careful...
