Explore 150+ years of LGBTQIA+ resistance, identity, and nightlife in the city where the modern movement began.
Berlin is more than “queer-friendly”—it’s where the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement was born. Long before Stonewall, Berlin was home to the world’s first gay rights activists, early trans pioneers, radical feminist networks, and a nightlife scene that shaped global culture.
On this immersive guided walking tour, you’ll trace over 150 years of queer and trans history—from the first public fights for equality to the golden era of 1920s cabarets, from Nazi persecution to post-war activism and the AIDS crisis, all the way to today’s Pride and club culture.
This isn’t a standard city walk: your guide brings the past to life with 200+ archival photos, rare videos, audio clips, quotes, interactive moments, and Augmented Reality shown on an iPad—so history feels present on the streets where it happened.
