He enjoys the independence he fought for late in life amidst sun, beach, and wild parties. But a stroke abruptly pulls him out of this self-determined everyday life. His daughter brings him back to his hometown of San Sebastian, where he is placed in a nursing home. In the unfamiliar environment, Vicente withdraws and, out of fear of rejection, once again conceals his sexual identity.
