Friendly, helpful people. A diverse crowd, easy to chat with. Pleasant atmosphere, would gladly come again.
Very friendly staff Great events Queer-friendly! :D
Terrible organization! Their information is on Facebook and Instagram, which blocks people without accounts. A program is posted in the building, and it also says on Instagram that an event is taking place—but surprise: it's canceled! And since I'm not part of their circle of friends, I'm not in contact with them via Telegram and don't get updates there. I'm an immigrant and not friends with the people from Fluid. How am I supposed to participate as a stranger who feels even more isolated as a result? This isn't my first experience with left-wing organizations in Germany! If they change something in the program, they only inform their closest friends, and that's it. They don't even bother to update the notice board in the building! German LGBTQ+ people and leftists simply don't know how to treat strangers. It's totally off-putting. I've experienced this kind of thing many times before. A group of friends is fine, but strangers? From outside the group? New arrivals? Immigrants? Disappointing, as always. As is often the case with Germans.
An incredibly important place for queer people in Bochum. Lots of great events, meetups, exhibitions, and workshops. Melanie is always incredibly kind in her job at the café and has a listening ear for everyone. That's really helpful when you're feeling a bit lost. Many people seeking advice and support feel that having the AIDS support center and the "WIR – Center for Sexual Health and Medicine" located in the same building is a real plus. Thank you all for your dedication—you are so important, especially during these times.
Fantastic cultural events and a great, important third space for the queer community in Bochum
