Nina and Angie are best friends and struggle through life together. And for both of them, life isn't exactly rosy: Nina suffers from her abusive husband but doesn't dare to leave him, and Angie is a single mother and has serious money worries. Because Rahel, Angie's teenage daughter, needs 300 Euros for a class trip, the friends visit the bank where Nina's husband Marc works. They want to ask him for a small loan, but Marc rudely rejects the women. Angie then loses control, and the situation unexpectedly gets out of hand. Suddenly, the two are trapped in the bank, and what began as a misunderstanding ends in an unplanned hostage-taking.
The German-Nigerian director, actress, author, and film producer Sheri Hagen was awarded the Jury Award at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival 2026 for her third feature film.
