Christopher Street Day Dortmund
About This Event
Christopher Street Day (CSD) Dortmund is the city's annual LGBTQ+ Pride, organised by SLADO e.V. and held in early September. The demonstration and parade run from the Hauptbahnhof through the city centre to Friedensplatz, where a street festival with stages, speeches, stalls and performances takes place. Rooted in the Ruhr region's working-class and progressive traditions, Dortmund's CSD has a grounded, politically engaged character alongside the celebration, drawing several thousand participants and allies from across North Rhine-Westphalia. Most events — the parade and the main-stage programme on Friedensplatz — are free and open to all, with some ticketed after-parties at local venues. The 2026 edition (the 28th CSD) took place on Saturday 5 September; the 2027 date is expected on the first Saturday of September. Check csd-dortmund.de closer to the date for the confirmed programme.
