Despite how you'd assume based on the pictures and reviews, this is not a bar for queer people. Usually empty, and the few people that do come here are rarely even allys. Sadly can't reccomend :(

We visited the bar for the first time yesterday and loved it. The atmosphere was great, the music was fantastic, and there was absolutely no wait at the bar. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended! ☺️

More obvious: illegal noise, the operator doesn't care and makes excuses and continues twice as loud.

Absolute noise, aggressive owner, call the noise control authority! Ruining the neighborhood.

Since the Twist moved it‘s been not the same unfortunately. The location is now small like a shoebox so around 15 people can fit in. Unfortunately it‘s not a gay bar anymore! According to the staff they say they want to let anyone in, which makes it not a safespace for gays. Doesn‘t surprise me though, a gay bar in Alt Sachsenhausen would feel very unsafe. They did Karaoke Nights for around 2 weeks before they dropped it. Staff tells me they also dropped the drag bingos. A shame. Now theres only really one gay bar in Frankfurt!
