via Stay22About this place Pleasure dome
Pleasure Dome, on Goethestr. 11, is Hannover’s main gay club, playing electronic and dance music.
It’s the kind of place where you get a real sense of the local LGBTQ+ scene, particularly if you’re into a big, energetic night out. Think thumping beats, a packed dance floor, and a crowd that’s genuinely there to party.
Like a lot of gay clubs in German cities, it's a social space, too. You’ll find people connecting, talking, and generally enjoying themselves in a place built for the queer community.
They change up their events and opening times, so your best bet is to check pleasure-dome-hannover.de before you go. You don’t want to show up to a dark club, after all.

I'm torn between 1 or 5 stars. It's a great building with a lot of history. It's drafty everywhere. They've tried, albeit indirectly, to make it fully accessible for people with disabilities. But the route from the street across the square or around it is a disaster. The elevator, on the other hand, is fantastic, and the view from the top over Hanover or Lake Maschsee is magnificent. The toilets look like Bismarck himself used them – simply old and shabby. So, 1 star or 5?!
A mega-super building. It makes a huge impression.
Iconic and beautiful. Somewhat rustic and old-fashioned, but still an experience.
Beautiful architecture and impressive cityscapes from different eras in the great hall.
The inclined elevator is always very nice, especially when you have a visitor who doesn't know it yet but has been to Hanover several times.
