Vulkan Sauna

Located somewhat off the beaten track, but clean and inviting!

The sauna is okay. Advantages: relatively large whirlpool steam sauna + dry sauna Disadvantages: whirlpool urgently needs renovation It was relatively quiet at 4 pm today, Sunday, but that could also be due to the nice weather. Generally, the entrance fee is high for a sauna.

It's actually a nice place. It does seem a bit old-fashioned, but it has a certain charm. The prices for food and drinks are also reasonable. The only problem is the clientele. It's especially dangerous for women on Mixed Day. If my girlfriend had been alone, she would have been sexually harassed the entire time. If the prices were higher on Mixed Day and the clientele were more sophisticated, we would gladly come back. Otherwise, it feels very seedy, and the women would feel more comfortable there.

It was a very nice visit today. I will definitely be back.

The sauna infusions were awful today; my towel was covered in yellow stains from the 6 pm session! It was incredibly crowded and uncomfortable to sit in. It would be much better if the infusions were split into two consecutive sessions so people don't have to sit so close together and uncomfortably! It used to be very professional, quiet, and enjoyable downstairs, but today I was really disappointed.

I would like to begin by expressing my sincere thanks for the warm welcome I received upon entering the Vulkan Sauna Hannover. Right from the entrance, I felt at home. The staff at the counter were pleasant, approachable, and very friendly. At the same time, they seemed genuinely interested and curious – which, in my opinion, is perfectly normal for first-time or infrequent visitors. This combination of attentiveness and warmth immediately creates a welcoming atmosphere. The entire facility was very clean and well-maintained. The Finnish sauna, in particular, was tidy, hygienic, and inviting. The sauna attendant was also exceptionally friendly and treated the guests with respect, which further enhanced the positive experience. A small, collegial suggestion: It would be helpful if the sauna attendant briefly introduced themselves and announced the planned duration of the sauna infusion before it began. Inexperienced or infrequent sauna-goers, in particular, tend to think they can "manage it," but sometimes overestimate their physical capabilities. A brief explanation beforehand could help prevent any health issues. On a positive note, the safety instructions and the fragrances used were clearly announced. All in all, I would like to sincerely thank you for the lovely Sunday afternoon I was able to spend with you. I felt very comfortable and would love to come again. Until next time! 😊

I'm coming for the 4th time. I like the atmosphere. What I liked is that the staff is very friendly. It's hard to write comments but the kitchen is worth it, a great salad, very well made and very tasty.

For almost three years, I've been a regular at Germany's first gay sauna, the Vulkan Sauna. The service is always precise, friendly, and attentive, the atmosphere welcoming and respectful. The place is full of secrets and adventures—there's always something new to discover. A true sauna in the classic style! Congratulations!

I had a very pleasant time with you, but there were a few shortcomings I'd like to mention: - The steam sauna was quite lukewarm (I heard this is often the case). - The whirlpool smelled musty, so I avoided it. - The shower equipment is a bit outdated and urgently needs modernization. The shower on the far left was freezing cold, and that wasn't even the cold water shower! Adjusting the temperature on the other showers was quite difficult. One turn too many and it was either too cold or too hot. The runtime on one shower was far too short; you had to keep pressing the button to get any water at all. - The soap dispensers are falling apart, and some barely dispense any soap. Please take these points into consideration, as the relaxing atmosphere of a sauna should extend to the showers as well. The investment in the building was evident in the French toilet in the darkroom area. Very well done. Thank you! Last but not least: The ribs were fantastic!!!

Always a place of fun and relaxation.

For Hanover, this is probably the best thing on offer for gay people. The staff is very genuine; you like some employees, some you don't. But you're not there to make friends. Nevertheless, you are valued as a guest and treated with courtesy. The food is always really good and tastes exceptionally good. They always put a lot of effort into the sauna infusions; this is actually a truly unique feature that deserves special mention. Unfortunately, the showers are sometimes too cold, and the whirlpool occasionally smells musty. All in all, you can't really compare this sauna to the well-known saunas in Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Leipzig, and Munich, but for Hanover standards, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Therefore, 4 out of 5 stars for you.
