The waiter was very unfriendly. We waited 20 minutes on the terrace. When he finally came, he said the terrace was closed. Very rude. The food was nothing special.
We booked the cave suite because the pictures really appealed to us. At first glance, it looks truly innovative and beautifully done, but the more we look, the less appealing it becomes. Negative points: - The suite was dirty; walking barefoot left sand, dust, and dirt on your feet. - A massive ant problem (on the floor, walls, in the bathrooms, and on the beds). - Cut cables dangling from the ceiling and several other places. - Mold in the bathrooms and on some of the windows, including around the large skylight. - The toilet doors are so warped that they cannot be closed without considerable force. - About half of the many lamps and lighting effects are broken, hanging by their cables from the ceiling/wall, or simply fall from the ceiling during the evening (which happened twice). - No Wi-Fi On the positive side: The receptionist was friendly and noted down all the issues we mentioned in the morning. We hope this will be addressed for future guests. In summary: A waste of money, never again. Truly disappointing.
I've never encountered a hotel like this where you can recall the magic of your childhood. I return to this facility often with great pleasure. The staff responds quickly when I email them with reservation requests. I highly recommend it.
We stayed at the Allvitalis and were very satisfied. Admittedly, the underground parking garage and the grounds could be improved. But compared to February, you can see that things are being done. There are fewer construction sites. A huge plus for us was the four charging stations in the underground garage. This isn't yet standard in hotels, so we were very surprised. The room was fantastic for us. We had the "Demon Room" and loved it. There were great paintings on the walls, and the room was superb overall. We even had a small balcony. We would have preferred a second chair instead of the large table. Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast without any major highlights, but everything was fresh and tasty. We also thought the location was excellent. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied with our stay. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Karlsruhe.
The rooms were not what we were promised. They were not the ones shown in the pictures. This was disappointing, as we paid a lot of money for a special room. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
