Everything is fine so far.

In my opinion, this hotel is underselling itself. €100 for one night including sauna and a generous breakfast hardly covers costs. The lack of soundproofing is a drawback, but otherwise I felt very comfortable.

I was put in a tiny but clean and tidy single room. As always, the bright, airy rooms pictured on the booking platforms didn't match reality, but that's to be expected. I had no complaints until checkout, but the experience was the epitome of rudeness and outrageousness. The moment the receptionist saw me (dressed in a German army uniform), I noticed her disdainful look, as if I were some ugly insect. I was shown the door accordingly, with utter impoliteness. She refused to give me a bill because I had booked through a platform where she wasn't authorized to issue invoices. I proved to her that I hadn't booked through that platform, but through another well-known and widely used website. I explained that I needed the bill to be reimbursed for my expenses. Despite all my explanations and proof, I received no bill; my arguments and booking confirmations were ignored. Questions about my stay, whether everything was alright, were completely ignored. The young blonde woman definitely chose the wrong profession. The invoice for the accommodation tax contained the wrong address and name twice. The staff were snarky, incompetent, and rude. Who knows, maybe it was because of the uniform. Therefore, I strongly advise all colleagues traveling on official business to steer clear of this hotel and have already reported it to the travel office.

We were in Kassel for the first time with a group. The hotel is fantastic: comfortable, large beds, a healthy and delicious breakfast, and great flexibility. We had special requests, which were fulfilled with great helpfulness and friendliness – even in stressful situations. The only slight drawback is the shower in the single room: it's quite narrow, so it might be a bit cramped for taller people. There's a bus stop right outside, and parking is available nearby. We'd love to come back!

The hotel is okay overall. The rooms and beds are a bit cheap. The bed was rickety, and two tiny pillows are definitely not enough. Water kept leaking from the shower. The electrical wiring was also questionable at times. Upon departure, I was charged for breakfast, which I hadn't even had. At least that charge was later removed.

Our first stay in Kassel for a few days, and we hit the jackpot with this hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly, taking excellent care of us. They even had tips on public transport, excursions, and more. The breakfast was delicious – something for everyone. The room was simple but clean and had everything we needed. We'd love to come back – next time to see the water features, which were closed for the winter.

I had booked a double room with my father (well over 80 years old) because we were going to a family celebration in Kassel. We arrived at 2:05 pm, and the receptionist insisted that we couldn't enter the room before 3:00 pm, the official check-in time, because it supposedly (yeah, right) wasn't ready yet. I have absolutely no understanding for this behavior, and I've never experienced anything like it in any other hotel! My elderly father would certainly have liked to rest in bed a bit before the family celebration, but as I mentioned, that was denied us. It seems that such things as goodwill or customer service are nonexistent at this hotel, and I wonder what the point of this is, other than to drive guests away. The tiny double room only had one chair, so we couldn't even sit down at the same time. The bedside tables next to the (in my opinion, far too soft) beds consisted of two wooden boxes (approximately 40cm x 40cm x 40cm) where it was difficult to place anything without contorting oneself. While free Wi-Fi is offered, there was no signal in the room. I find that quite pathetic in 2025! The room, the bathroom, and the other areas of the hotel were at least clean and tidy, the breakfast was very good, and most of the hotel staff were very friendly. However, due to the aforementioned experiences, I would never set foot in this hotel again and would not recommend it. I also find the price for the tiny room unreasonable.
