The room was generally nice and spacious, but somewhat worn. Some of the furniture was damaged. The beds were much too soft for us, but I'm sure some people like that. The signage to the parking lot was quite confusing, and the entrance (side entrance) to the hotel was difficult to find. The city center was a half-hour walk away, and the Karlsaue park was about 20 minutes away. The kitchen was adequate, but it lacked a frying pan and basic seasonings like salt and pepper.

As a couple with our 9-year-old child, we stayed one night at the hotel. We briefly checked into our room in the afternoon and then went to a party in the evening. We returned around 1:00 a.m. The first problem arose as soon as we entered the room: the keypad on the door was unreliable; some keys bounced or didn't register at all. It took several attempts before we could open the door. The most serious problem, however, was the mattress. It was extremely soft and in a completely unacceptable condition: a long, deep, continuous tear ran the entire length of the sleeping surface. As a result, I couldn't sleep on it because I literally sank into the tear (see attached photo). A bed like this should never be allowed to be rented to guests. Housekeeping should have noticed and reported this issue immediately. Since there was no reception or service on site, and we wanted to go to bed quickly, we decided against calling to report the problem in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, this made the stay unsuitable for a restful night's sleep.

The mattresses in room 512 were really bad, or rather, old. The bathroom fixtures and the toilet are also very worn. On the plus side, the hotel has good transport links, a bus stop directly opposite, and the rooms are very quiet and spacious. There is ample parking available.
