Holiday Inn - the niu, Mood Mainz by IHG

Good hotel, within walking distance of the train station (rolling suitcases!)

Very good, clean, and excellent staff.

Nice hotel in Mainz. The city center is a short walk away. Breakfast is good, but not outstanding.

Modernized hotel. The rooms are quite good. The air conditioning works somewhat, but isn't great. During breakfast, I noticed that the tables were cleared slowly but not cleaned. People then just sat down at a table that was still sticky from the previous guests. The selection during breakfast was fine. There are charging stations in the parking garage that don't work; fortunately, there was one right outside the door. The TV can be connected, but I haven't been able to stream.

The room and bathroom were adequately sized. The mattresses were very hard. The reception staff were friendly but very slow. Breakfast was lacking in many areas, and the coffee machines were unreliable. However, for the price, breakfast was still excellent. All in all, the hotel is suitable for a short stay and definitely recommendable. Plenty of parking is available for €15 per day.
