Munich-born Luvin’ Lou has shaped underground house, UK garage, and 2-step since the 1990s.
Born in 1977, he bought his first decks at 15. He was inspired by MK, Masters At Work, and the raw UK underground. After joining Munich’s Southern Sessions Collective in 1997, he co-launched SWEET @ Raum8 in 1999—hosting The Brothers Connection, Ray Hurley, Zed Bias, and Norris Windross, and becoming a staple of the city’s nightlife. SWEET led to tours and residencies across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, sharing lineups with Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brown, MJ Cole, and The Wideboys, plus bookings at SWEET (Munich), SWEET @ Roxy (Vienna), Pacha, Cafe King, and Zurich’s Street Parade. In 2001 he moved into production with Christian Belej (aka Hantaan) as S! and Sweet Dubs, delivering soulful remixes for Brown & Cole, Robin S, and Kele Le Roc. Today, through his ongoing SWEET residency, Luvin’ Lou blends house, garage, and 2-step—keeping Munich’s underground spirit alive.
