City Hotel am CCS

The hotel is centrally located, close to the train station and shopping mall, with a beautiful view of the entire city. A big plus is the restaurant on the top floor and the wide selection of breakfast options there, as well as the staircase, which is perfect for jogging and getting a good workout. I almost forgot the free drinks in the fridge on each floor. A downside is that the parking lot is 190 cm high, which prevented me from entering, and I had to look for a parking space nearby.

Beautiful hotel with large rooms and very friendly staff. Good breakfast with a view from the 16th floor. They also accommodate special requests such as milk alternatives or fried eggs. Everyone here is very friendly as well. (Unfortunately, due to the very small breakfast room, you have to choose a specific breakfast time!) Great: Free minibar/drinks in the refrigerators by the elevators!!! Ideal location for the city center.

Very large, clean room, excellent room service, good food and a good location.

We, a married couple in our 83s, booked a package in April including two nights' half board and a candlelight dinner. The hotel was great, and we stayed on the top floor as requested. The panorama restaurant was right above us. The room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the bathroom only had a bathtub with a shower screen as a splash guard. Getting in and out of the tub was difficult for older people. The breakfast and dinner buffets were more than ample and varied. They were constantly being replenished. The only downside was the candlelight dinner. We had imagined more privacy and seclusion. But we were seated among all the other dinner guests, with a red table candle instead of a tea light and a menu card. Unfortunately, one dish was oversalted – we had to send it back. At check-out, we mentioned this again at reception, but a young employee very curtly informed us that if there wasn't more space or room available, there was no other way. The hotel has some of its own paid parking spaces and is very centrally located, with everything in Suhl within walking distance. The hotel has several parking spaces of its own (for a fee). We will come back, but without a candlelight dinner.

The hotel is centrally located, meaning it's at a major intersection. Trains pass by several times a day. It's very noisy, so the soundproof windows are of little use.
