Stay in June 2026, 6 days This place isn't for everyone. It's very quiet, I'd say it's a bit like a tiny town, with a field or sea view outside the window, and you can sometimes hear roosters or peacocks crowing. I found it very charming. The rooms were spotlessly clean and cleaned daily. They were small, with a sink in the room, but that didn't bother me at all. The food was delicious, but the breakfasts weren't very varied, although you could find eggs, bacon, yellow cheese, ham, feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, cereals, jams, and yogurts—it was still plenty. Lunches and dinners were very varied, with different delicacies on different days: fish, lamb, pork, shellfish, rice, baked potatoes, Greek salad, tzatziki, okra, chicken, three types of wine, beer, soft drinks, and several types of tea. The staff is very helpful, polite, and friendly. Nearby, you can find a small village shop that has everything you need and is always a few cents or a euro cheaper than the more upscale one a few meters away. There are also bars and pubs, but I didn't visit them. I recommend the hotel for those who want to relax, aren't looking for hotel amenities, and aren't "spoiled" by Turkish traditions. It's also a good place to hop on the bus to Chania and the old port for sightseeing. A one-way ticket costs just €4. I found it a charming place with close access to a public beach, rocky but very clean, with a lifeguard.
We had a truly wonderful stay and can absolutely recommend the hotel. The outstanding food deserves special mention – the trip would have been worthwhile for the culinary experience alone. Every day there were fresh, incredibly flavorful dishes prepared with great care. The option to easily and affordably rent a car directly through the hotel was also very convenient. This made our stay much more comfortable and allowed us to explore the region at our own pace. The pool was exceptionally clean and, as a freshwater pool, a fantastic alternative to the sea, which isn't always the case in this area. Especially since the local beach is unfortunately quite rocky, the pool was a huge plus for us. We would also like to commend the staff for their kindness and understanding when we accidentally caused a few minor damages to the room. They handled it very kindly and with great understanding. In addition, there was daily room service with a truly thorough cleaning – the rooms were always in perfect condition. Overall, a very welcoming hotel with a warm atmosphere and a strong commitment to its guests.
We spent two very pleasant nights in this lovely hotel. The room was clean and functional, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The pool, large and very well maintained, offers a perfect setting for relaxation. The welcome was truly warm, and the buffet breakfasts were very generous. The sea is very close: it's a pebble beach, so it's best to bring water shoes. An ideal place for a relaxing stay.
It was a fantastic trip! The hotel fully met our expectations. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped. The hotel staff deserves a huge PLUS. Everyone, without exception, is incredibly kind and helpful, from check-in to departure. The meals are delicious and varied (I love seafood; they serve excellent octopus and very tasty mussels, and the lamb is also excellent), and the breakfasts are European. The hotel's advantage is its excellent location; it's a perfect base for exploring the area. After returning from our trips, the blissful peace and quiet of the hotel ensures a well-deserved rest. We will happily return.
We stayed at Mrs Chryssana Beach Hotel for one night and enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay for an extra night. The property is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located near the beach, with a pool, included buffet breakfast, and free on-site parking. While the hotel is a three-star property, the warmth, service, and attention from the staff made the experience feel much more special. Our Classic Double Room was spotless and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We also appreciated the welcome glass of cold orange juice on arrival, especially after our long flight. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. A special thank you to Konstantina, whose kindness made us feel right at home. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kolymbari.
