Safestay Athens Monastiraki

Our room was clean but a bit small with a creaky double bed. Since we were most of the time walking outside we didn't expect it to be exceptionally good, but it overall it was good.

I just went to the rooftop terrace, it has an amazing view. The drinks have a good price as well. Unfortunately, the terrace wasn’t really clean and the furniture could be updated.

Terrible acoustics, very noisy every morning, very uncomfortable bed where you could feel the mattress springs, cheap breakfast but with few options. Positive points: the friendliness of the staff, close to tourist attractions including the Acropolis… Phenomenal view of the Acropolis. Cleanliness was good overall but the showers need to be cleaned more, including the walls and shower hose…

It was clean. Front desk person was nice and helpful. We were guests but not staying overnight.

Chrysa gave me a very warm welcome, helpful advice, and speaks excellent French. I booked a 6-bed female dorm; it was clean, although the shower was small. The rooms have air conditioning. The location is ideal, and the rooftop view is fantastic. Please note that they only accept credit cards. I highly recommend this hostel.

A beautiful and quiet place.

Perfect location and service. Good quality and clean property. Would stay there again and recommend to especially solo travellers.

Excellent place, very clean and with an unbeatable location

Honestly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Thoroughly disappointed. When we checked in there was a ripped up towel on the bathroom floor folded by the shower as if it’s supposed to be a floor towel. There’s no soap at the sinks so you have to go into the shower to use the soap mounted on the wall there everytime you need to wash your hands. Pillows were as flat as paper so my neck hurts so bad. The rooftop across the street (part of the hotel) is open until god knows when so I was awake until at least 2am from all the loud people there yelling. The windows always sound as if they are open, the street noise is so loud. Other guests are always yelling in the stairwell at all hours of the day and night. Worst sleep I’ve ever gotten. House keeping came and instead of making the bed, they threw the comforter on and left the pillows all piled up like they had to leave in a hurry. (Photographed). There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom. Front desk staff was rude. The only decent thing was the cheap shuttle to the airport. Would not stay here again.

A comfortable stay with very helpful staff in a scenic part of downtown Athens. We could see the Acropolis from our window!
