Mosaikon Hostel

I was satisfied with the cleanliness, location, and friendliness! The staff were professional, and the guests were gentle, so I had a comfortable stay. I used the elevators without any issues, and the view of the Parthenon from the rooftop was fantastic. I had a few late-night arrivals and departures, and it was fine because the path from where the airport bus dropped me off was bustling. It seems the streets are crowded until 2 AM. When I went out at 3 AM, it was quiet, but I didn't feel it was particularly dangerous. That shows just how centrally located it is in the middle of a busy area. The luggage storage fee was 6 euros, regardless of the number of items or the duration. I was able to conveniently leave my luggage when going to Santorini and Meteora. I noticed that many accommodations in Athens do not offer luggage storage. Since the front desk operates 24 hours a day, it was perfect for my schedule. I had a great stay. Thank you.

👍 Honestly, it's more like a hostel than a hotel. There's a bar on the ground floor where they serve breakfast (€15). I stayed in a 4-bed dorm (all women) and had a great experience. Everything was very clean. The curtains over the beds provide a lot of privacy. The lockers could be bigger; they're a bit inconvenient because suitcases don't fit, and you open them with the same key you get for your room. On the first floor, there's a space with tables for eating/working, and a refrigerator for storing your things. It's in the city center, so you can walk everywhere. And you're close to a metro station. The location is excellent. 👎 The only downside is that the lockers could be bigger to make storing your belongings more convenient. The street noise, which I read about in many reviews, didn't bother me at all.

I had such a great experience staying at Mosaikon, and a huge part of that was because of Maro at reception. As a solo traveller, you can sometimes feel a bit lost or unsure in a new city, but she made me feel welcome from the very first moment. Maro is genuinely one of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve met while travelling. She was always smiling, always ready to help with anything, and gave great recommendations around Athens. She made the atmosphere of the hostel feel warm, friendly, and safe. You can tell she really cares about the guests and enjoys what she does. People like her are the reason some places become unforgettable. Thank you, Maro, for making my stay so special — you’re amazing!

Friendly staff and a great atmosphere—I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is conveniently located near the Pantheon and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping areas. The rooms were clean, and the bed was super comfortable, which made it even better after a long day of exploring. Everything about the stay felt easy and relaxing. I’d definitely love to come back!

Very clean in a very central location of the city.

The location is convenient, and I loved the hostel's cleanliness and new facilities. The front desk staff were very friendly. There's a toilet and shower in the room, and toilets are also conveniently located outside the rooms and in other common areas – a thoughtful touch, ensuring you never have to wait for one, which is rare when traveling in Europe! Each bed has a curtain, providing ample privacy. The rooftop balcony offers a direct view of the Acropolis. Although it was a bit chilly in April, preventing me from staying long, the overall atmosphere was very chill! The minor drawbacks are the lack of a kitchen and the slightly noisy restaurant downstairs, but still acceptable.

Good points... • Staff are kind and friendly. • Bedside light can be adjusted and is easy to use. • Air conditioning. • Large lockable locker. • Common area (some seats without power outlets. refrigerator). • Drinking water available at the cafe on the first floor. • No electric kettle, but hot water can be obtained from the reception. Negative points... • Towels are extra. • No cups or cutlery provided. Other points... • Room contains one toilet, one shower, one sink, and one hairdryer. • Elevator (single-person, very narrow). • Card key. • Cafe on the first floor also serves as the breakfast venue. Buffet style. €15. 08:00-11:00 • WiFi: Bedside 8.9Mbps at 18:00, 8.4Mbps at 10:00. Common area 3.2Mbps at 21:00, 200Kbps at 22:30. • Area around hostel is very lively with many stylish restaurants and bars. • 8-minute walk to airport bus stop (Syntagma Square). • Nearest supermarket is Super Market Bazaar. Sklavenitis is a little further away but has a better selection and a reasonably priced bakery.

The hostel is very well located, the staff are polite and willing to help with anything needed. I needed help with my Acropolis ticket and was promptly assisted. It's close to the metro, which makes it easy to get to and from the airport.

I stay there just for one night and it was so good, the place is close to the Centre and the room has private bathrooms. It is quiet and you can have a really good view of Acropolis.
