Folies Corfu Hotel Apartments

We felt good at Folies, everything was clean, lots of space with vegetation, a swimming pool with a pool bar, parking at the entrance to the complex and a few good options of restaurants and markets nearby. At the pool bar the prices are tasteful, and you can find good drinks and snacks. At the reception, the staff is very nice, the check-in is very fast and easy, as is the checkout. 50 meters from the exit of the complex there is a Bluebus stop right in front of Brutarier chair if there is no sign posted there, stop there. Number 8 and 11 go to Corfu Town. I highly recommend this place, here you can calm down and relax easily.

Really lovely place to stay for all ages. The staff were really lovely and helpful. Check in and out was also very simple. Great pool and not too busy. Good bar with lots of drink and food options. Room was spacious with a great balcony. 35 minute walk from the town, however, buses come every 40 minutes for 2 euros and it’s only a 10 minute journey max. The staff helped by giving the link to Corfu city bus to see the schedule and live tracker for the bus stop outside the hotel (bus stop 840, line 8 or 11). Loved our stay. ☺️

In a nice surrounding area there are various buildings of various dates from what I understood. The rooms are large and spacious. So far so good. With the sections or parts that were renovated visible, it seems that the work that was done was absolutely necessary without any provision for the future. For example, my room had a renovated bathroom (already sanitary taps and tiles) but the pipes had remained the same, resulting in the sewage ones smelling as if you were in a sewer. In the room the laminate is ancient and swollen with the corresponding smell of mold. The furniture is at least 40 years old and I'm not exaggerating. The 18-inch TV with faded colors and brightness from the weather. The chairs inside or outside are not for sitting for more than 5 minutes. You don't have breakfast. I understand that renovating these spaces is a difficult and costly undertaking, but you are on a highly touristic island and I assume that you would soon get the cost back. At least when a customer comes, make sure to have the balcony doors wide open so that the particularly strong smell is gone and the one that does not go away at all remains. Too bad for you and the beautiful space.

Generally clean and good hotel. Far from the old town, but accessible by bus.
