A good hotel, but it doesn't quite live up to 5 stars! The location is reasonably okay, as everything is within walking distance, although it's not exactly centrally located in an unremarkable residential area. The room is modern and well-equipped, however, I was disappointed with my deluxe room; I couldn't tell the difference between it and the standard rooms my fellow travelers had booked! The location facing the street was identical, as was the size (perhaps differing by 1-2 square meters) and the furnishings. The extra cost is definitely not recommended! The breakfast is good and reasonably extensive, but the quality is far too poor for a 5-star hotel. The coffee, juice, croissants, and pastries are very good, but there's room for improvement. You won't find any bread rolls (except for some really poor imitations), the scrambled eggs have a very unpleasant texture, and the cold cuts are quite limited and rather basic. Egg dishes like Eggs Benedict can be ordered for an extra charge (approx. €10), but in a hotel like this, I expect this to be included as standard. The gym is well-equipped and of high quality; there's nothing to complain about there. However, charging a (high) extra for using the (small) indoor pool and sauna is ridiculous and doesn't match the hotel's rating. Overall, unfortunately, only 3 stars due to some annoying extra charges and an incomprehensible room category. A shame!
Great location almost at the historic center, about a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel was very neat, but unfortunately not what you would expect from a 5-star establishment. Very noisy in the rooms. Sound from the hallway and rooms next door and upstairs could be clearly heard. The scraping of chairs/furniture goes on day and night. The service itself was fine; they were willing to do anything for you, although it sometimes felt a bit out of place or exaggerated. Breakfast was very disappointing on the first day. Breakfast was until 10:30, but by 09:45 there was hardly any bread or egg available anymore... Especially a bit expensive for what you get. The room is very neat and clean, but everything surrounding it, as far as we are concerned, is not entirely worth the effort.
An elegant location with high-end dining options. My favorite is the Osteria del Forte.
To be avoided
Class is not water... Amazing!!!
I was at Palazzo d'Oglio for a meeting, a well-kept stately building with a bar service worthy of the lupgo
