Cagliari: Sardinia's Growing Gay Scene
Cagliari, Sardinia's capital, is a Mediterranean hill city. It has a Phoenician Castello quarter and beaches just 20 minutes from the center. It also has a small but growing LGBTQ+ scene.
Lola Cagliari, in the Marina district, is the main gay-friendly bar. Cagliari Pride, held in July, has grown steadily since 2012.
Sardinia's coastline includes gay-friendly beach sections in summer. Look for them particularly at Punta Molentis and Poetto beach, close to the city.
