Rosanna was so friendly & accommodating (breakfast & servicing the rooms). Great location - though initial arrival (outside) had us wondering.

Excellent B&B, with a helpful and punctual host who looked after us from the day before our arrival to the day we left, even holding our luggage after checkout. The location is excellent, striking the perfect balance between the sea and the city center. The room is beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast is basic but leaves plenty of time to savor the city's delicacies from the morning onward.

Comfort quality, true Sicilian hospitality. It is in a very good location, just a few minutes walk from the Duomo square, but the bus station (Piazza Paolo Borsalino) is also only about 7-10 minutes walk. The accommodation is in a small street that may not appeal to everyone at first. However, it is a small street with a typical Sicilian atmosphere. Entering the gate, which is a closed iron door, you are greeted by an old staircase, but don't let that fool you! Entering the accommodation upstairs (which may have been a larger apartment at one time) a perfectly renovated, very pleasantly furnished and equipped world awaits you. The staff is extra nice, helps with everything and gives many recommendations for sights or restaurants and smaller trips. The rooms are very special, each has its own name. Ours was the "music" room, which was named after the 3D stucco and fresco on the ceiling. By the way, we booked a 2-bed room and got a large 2+1 bed instead at no extra cost. The rooms, as well as the common areas (2 dining rooms and lounges), are very nicely furnished and clean. The WIFI is excellent, there is a large TV and a refrigerator-heater air conditioner. The rooms have their own bathroom, which is also very tidy, clean and well equipped. Guests are provided with free coffee and tea, which guests can make themselves at any time of the day. There is no reception, the staff is only on site in the morning and at reception. Everyone gets keys and a magnetic card. The breakfast is average, supplemented with very delicious homemade cakes. Maybe a slightly better sign indicating the accommodation, we passed by it twice. :-)

I can echo the sentiments of the person who couldn't travel due to the war regarding the service. We had booked a room, and then the pandemic began in March 2020. The owner sent us a heartbreaking message explaining that she couldn't fulfill her obligation to refund our money. We agreed, believing it was the right thing to do to help someone in financial need. In return, we received a voucher valid for two years. I wrote to the owner twice, explaining that we wouldn't be able to travel within those two years and asking her to please extend the voucher. Unfortunately, the owner of B&B il Leone Blu showed absolutely no compassion. The voucher has therefore expired, and we lost our money, simply because we had acted kindly beforehand. For this reason alone, I would neither recommend nor book this accommodation myself.

We had the pleasure of staying at Leone Blu during our visit to Catania as a group of eight, and we were truly thrilled. The property is very welcoming, clean, and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort. The central location is perfect for exploring the city. We highly recommend it and hope to return soon. Special thanks to the owner, who is always kind and available to offer information and advice.

Loved this hotel. Our room was beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. Check in easy, great communication and help from Manuela and a nice breakfast. Really good value. Only thing to note is you can hear some noise from outside at night but it didn’t affect us sleeping- it’s a busy city after all.

If you’re visiting Catania, you should stay here if you can! The communication with the staff makes you feel at home. Manuella is the kindest. The rooms are beautiful and you are literally in the center of the city, with many bars and restaurants around. This B&B is close to piazza Borsellino where you can take a bus to the airport. The owner is incredibly efficient, available, and always on call via WhatsApp. However, the person in charge of cleaning and breakfast is unpleasant, even aggressive, if you're five minutes late checking out at 10:30 AM. You'll definitely stay there once, but never again.

We stayed 3 nights. Despite not looking like it from the exterior, the interior has been tastefully renovated. Large and comfortable rooms. Very friendly host. Gave us good tips on places to visit. The location couldn't be better. Breakfast could be improved with fresh bread and more fruit. I highly recommend it. If I return to Catania I will try to stay in the same place.

We were three girls staying one night at this B&B. The facade and the stairwell gave us a bit of a shock, which made us a little uneasy. But when we arrived at the top and the door opened, we found ourselves in a fantastically renovated and furnished apartment. All the rooms are individual guest rooms with two or more beds. There's a small entrance hall and two further hallways with tables and chairs for guests to enjoy their breakfast. Our bedroom was absolutely gorgeous. It consisted of a double bed and a sofa bed. It was spacious and beautifully furnished. The beds were high-quality and made up with premium linens. We slept wonderfully. The bathroom was clean and very modernly renovated. A mini-fridge was also available, which was very convenient for the groceries we had bought at the nearby market. We give the location 10 stars because it's right in the heart of things. You couldn't be any closer to the action. During the day, you can reach Via Etnea in 5 minutes and the market and its delicious fish restaurants in 3 minutes, where you're right in the heart of the action at lunch and dinner. All in all, the location is perfect, the rooms and service are top-notch! Oh, and it's only 10 minutes from the airport! If I ever come back to Catania, I will definitely book this B&B again.

A unique and charming setting in the center of Catania. It's a shame that the exterior is noisy and parking is difficult. A wonderful experience!
