The sea is beautiful, depending on the wind, as is the case in almost all of Salento. The public beach, however, is often left abandoned, and after every storm, tons of seaweed accumulates, rotting in the sun and smelling nauseatingly. It's a shame that the Municipality of Gallipoli doesn't properly maintain this stretch of coastline...
