About this place Sauna Colosseo

Sauna Colosseo on Via Bezzecca is one of the oldest operating gay saunas in Italy, having welcomed visitors since the 1980s. It sits near Porta Romana, south of the city centre — a 15-minute walk from Porta Venezia or a short metro ride. The facility is smaller and more traditional than Thermas: a steamroom, a Finnish sauna, a maze-style darkroom, private cabins and a small bar. The clientele is predominantly local — regulars who have been coming for years or decades — and the atmosphere is accordingly more intimate and unhurried than at the larger tourist-oriented sauna. Cleanliness standards are consistently high. The space was fully renovated in the early 2010s. Entry is moderately priced with lockers, towel and the bar included. Open afternoons and evenings daily from 14:00, with later closing on weekends.

Beautiful place for a sauna.. Turkish bath. Pool and jacuzzi.. ONLY FOR MEN.. Gay friendly and massive presence.. but if you say no thanks you can also enjoy the structure.. excellent mega toasts and sandwiches from the bar.. beautiful sun deck.. pool just completely redone.

A spectacular place, unmatched in Italy and perhaps even in Europe... not just a sauna, but two pools, both enormous, one of which is outdoors. A clean and relaxed atmosphere, with people of all types and ages, all incredibly respectful of diversity and the opportunity for unexpected interaction. I never felt out of place. Yes, it's true that upon entering, the staff isn't exactly the most friendly, but, all things considered, who cares?

The person at reception was extremely rude and unprofessional. There were two of us: I'm Italian but have lived abroad for over 10 years. I have an Arco card, but I didn't have the physical version with me; when I signed up, about a year ago, I was only given a piece of paper, which I've since lost. After explaining the situation, she looked visibly annoyed and checked my ID anyway (which made perfect sense). When it was my friend's turn, a Kuwaiti citizen living in Spain, he was denied entry because he only had a digital ID. I completely understand that the rules must be respected: many tourists, for safety's sake, leave their original documents at the hotel. The problem isn't the rule, but the attitude. The manner was rude and inelegant, especially considering that the person is an adult and not an inexperienced young man. In situations like this, it would be enough to politely say, "I'm sorry, but these are the rules and we can't make exceptions." Instead, the tone was annoyed and rude. I also simply asked how to download the app to get the digital card, but even then the response was annoyed and unhelpful. The service was terrible from start to finish. We're in Milan, an international city: what image does this kind of behavior convey to tourists? Just read the other reviews: many are negative and report the same lack of courtesy and explanations. In the end, I decided to leave. I'm not used to being treated as if I were asking for a favor, when in reality I'm a customer. Kindness and professionalism should be the foundation. I will also report this incident to the Arco association. Truly disappointing service.

Hi, is there a massage therapist in the sauna?
