About this place Hotel Dogana San Marino

Hotel Dogana is on Via Tre Settembre, the main road through Dogana, the first town you reach after crossing into San Marino from Italy. It's a mainstream hotel listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. The 3.9 rating across nearly 900 reviews suggests a functional, mid-range stay. Rimini and its beaches are about 20 minutes away by car, and San Marino's hilltop old town is roughly the same distance uphill. It works best if you're driving. Note that it's in San Marino, not Rimini itself, so check transport if you're planning nights out on the coast.

Large room, good breakfast, both sweet and savory.

Hotel good value for money. The reception is excellent, but one of the employees is unpleasant. Breakfast lacks variety. Car essential.

Hotel seems a little tired and needs a good refresh. Bed wasn't great in our room. We didn't eat there but did use the bar. Staff were ok without being friendly or overly helpful. Plus side - there is free parking right outside if you're lucky to get a space. It is a 20 minute drive to the old town so location not great
