Old style Italian Hotel with very pleasant staff our room overlooks Isola Bella only issue is noise from traffic on street. Ear plugs sorted this
I never thought something like this existed. There are about 10 parking spaces at the hotel that are ONLY for employees to use. After unloading in the second lane (a narrow coastal road), I was immediately told to leave and spent over an hour searching for a parking space in the heat, tired after the long drive. Normally you'd just laugh in the face and go down to the basement—but oh no—our room was down there. Right next to the horrifically noisy main road, the windows were blacked out and couldn't be opened. Sleep was out of the question. When I got home the next evening and all the parking spaces were free, I parked there. At 6 a.m. (!!) they dragged me out of bed—the cleaning lady was on her way—and tried to force me to move out...
A charming place! Starting with the service, we were able to check in early. Everything went smoothly and pleasantly. Upon entering the room, we discovered that the air conditioning was on, which was a VERY nice touch. Of course, the room was cleaned daily by the staff. The entire stay was very enjoyable; we once made ourselves a cocktail from the bar in the restaurant: Aperol cost 8 EUR and Amaro del Capo 4 EUR. On the day of check-out, we were allowed to use the pool and leave our luggage. Showers and bathrooms were available by the pool. We had no problem with sunbed availability. The breakfast was very tasty and rich in flavor. There were various types of croissants. Vegetables and fruits were available! The coffee from the vending machine was good, as were the juices from the vending machine. We had a view of Isola Bella every day. Don't hesitate to book!
I stayed at this hotel and I can say I had a great time. The building is a little older, but everything is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is amazing; you can admire Isola Bella from your window, and even though it's on the road, the noise from the cars isn't bothersome. I hope I'll be back soon.
The kindness of this hotel is a hallmark. Compliments to Valerio and Mrs. Francesca!
I loved the view!
