About this place Cape Cross (Punta Kriz)

Nestled along the picturesque Istrian coast, Cape Cross (Punta Kriz) is a well-known spot for the queer community seeking sun, sea, and a relaxed atmosphere. This pine-lined rocky cape, located just past the Amarin resort, offers a beautiful natural setting for LGBTQ+ visitors. It's a popular destination for cruising and also caters to nudists, providing a space where individuals can feel comfortable and free. While this beach is located near Rovinj in Croatia, it's a feasible and worthwhile excursion for travellers based in Trieste, Italy, situated approximately 67km away. The journey from Trieste allows you to explore the stunning Friuli-Venezia Giulia region before heading across the border to this secluded gem. Visitors can expect a natural, less developed beach experience, perfect for those who appreciate privacy and the beauty of the Adriatic coastline. It's advisable to pack essentials such as water, snacks, and sun protection, as amenities may be limited. Cape Cross offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and fellow travellers in a laid-back, inclusive environment. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to sunbathe, explore the coastline, or simply enjoy the company of the queer crowd, this destination provides a memorable escape. Remember to check local travel advisories and border crossing requirements before your trip.

Some of the negative reviews are accurate – the litter in the woods is indeed a problem. If you prefer a quieter experience, avoid the center and head a little further to the side. The atmosphere there is relaxed and not nearly as extreme as some reviews suggest. You might see a few things, but you won't be bothered.

Beautiful here, quiet and relaxing. But no children allowed! A very liberal stretch of beach! 😉👍
