The only restaurant from this visit to Venice that, in my personal opinion, deserves six stars. Rating the others lower would be doing them an injustice, but for us, this was still a step up the ladder. Tradition transformed into the contemporary without frills. High-quality, primarily local products, carefully selected and prepared with great love. The lightly smoked mackerel with peach, goat cheese, and lemon almond, the Berber chicken, and the grilled octopus with parsley-based Pesto Genovese were all perfectly prepared. Finally, a panna cotta with pleasant freshly made toppings (apricot, salty beer biscuits, and green pepper). Also the only restaurant where bread is served that is worthy of the name. Thank you for that. And where else can you choose between two types of coffee beans? I haven't drunk coffee from Ethiopia for years, as the acidity is very unpleasant. Now, after a good explanation from the man of the house, I understand the cause of this. Here, this bean is roasted with love, giving it the right acidity and a fruity undertone. What a breath of fresh air this espresso was. We were so lucky to have made a reservation here this evening, as it was the last service before their well-deserved vacation. This restaurant will become a permanent fixture for our biennial vacation in Venice.

Sophisticated and soulful culinary delight, a welcome surprise in otherwise predictable Venetian restaurant scene! Mackerel with peaches and goat cheese….moroccan sliced chicken! Natural wine and minimalist decor with great lighting. Passionate waiters complete the memorable scene!

The restaurant is great, the food truly excellent with a very finely balanced touch. The wine recommendation was also very good. The service at the table was polite and mostly attentive. However, one should bear in mind that other guests see the eye-rolling and grimacing when you turn away from the table and leave. While we understand the difficult task with what must be often challenging or impossible guests, we wondered what kind of faces were being made as we left our table. It felt somewhat unprofessional in an otherwise wonderful restaurant.

I had an amazing dinner here!! They have one waiter to take your food order, and one who takes your wine order - they both were very helpful in deciding what to order and they were both very kind. I had the smoked mackerel, salted cod in a lemongrass soup, and their daily special of dessert, as well as a pépin blanc wine. It was all delicious.

What a hidden gem in crowded Venice. I ate incredibly well. The staff was strangely entertaining.
