Verona Pride
About This Event
Verona's Pride now goes by the name Tumulto Pride. It is run on purpose as a grassroots march with no sponsors. The organiser is Rete Verona Rainbow, a network formed in 2025 by Circolo Pink, Mercury Verona, Eimì Verona and other groups. The name looks back to 1995, when the city council passed motions against gay people and a national protest marched through Verona on 30 September that year.
The first march under the Tumulto name was on 13 September 2025. The second, on Saturday 27 June 2026, left piazza Bra at about 17:00 on a route of roughly three kilometres. For the first time it crossed into the Borgo Trento district. L'Arena's coverage highlighted sexual freedom and HIV stigma, and rainbow and Palestinian flags were carried side by side. L'Arena counted about 3,000 people, while VeronaNetwork said more than 1,500. A counter-march called 'Ritorno al reale' drew around 200 the same day, and local politicians criticised the Pride.
The march is free, and there is no ticketed side programme to plan around. Expect late-June heat. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked.
