About this place Savannah Bay

Savannah Bay is an independent bookshop on Telingstraat, just off the Oudegracht in Utrecht's old centre, and has been one of the Netherlands' main feminist and queer bookshops for decades. The shelves cover queer fiction, non-fiction, poetry and zines in Dutch and English, plus a children's section and Pride merchandise. It also hosts readings and book launches, which are listed on its own channels. Staff know the stock well and are happy to recommend Dutch queer writers available in translation. Apparently a feminist bookstore that sells its products within that theme. I called after closing time, they stayed open especially for my order, and I was helped in a friendly manner as well. What service! I didn't even know I was a feminist, but now I do. No jokes, 5 stars; I was helped so kindly.
