About this place Café Kalff
Café Kalff is one of only a couple of gay bars in Utrecht. It sits right on the Oudegracht canal in the old city centre, at the address that was home to the De Roze Wolk gay disco for many years. It's a small bar, mostly filled with locals and students, and the regulars talk to newcomers.
It opens at 4pm on weekdays and 2pm at weekends, staying open until 1-2am. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest, with parties, and drag bingo comes up regularly. Drinks are cheap by Dutch standards.
