Stayokay Utrecht Center

The location and the view of the hostel were absolutely amazing. Since I was on a business trip, I requested a quiet room and the reception was kind enough to accommodate this. I really appreciate their friendly and helpful attitude. However the windows in the rooms do not open and the ventilation relies entirely on the air conditioner. It kept blowing air all night long. As a sinusitis sufferer, this was extremely uncomfortable for me. I asked them to turn down the airflow but they said they couldn't adjust it. I had to sleep with my head under the pillow for two nights. It was also disappointing that there are no hairdryers in the rooms-you have to ask for one at the reception. Although I loved the location but I won't be staying here again due to the ventilation problem

Warmed welcome, good attention, I arrived very late because I 've gone far from there, and the personal has been very comprehensive and professional. Good place in the center of town, encharged of History and patrimony. I usually use of this hostel for weekend, good price/quality, even with after COVID period, I think the prices have grown up, but it's thé same observation in all chains. Maybe a card of fidelity could permits more occasion to use of this hostel for better prices in fonction of réservations per year.

I was in Utrecht for the Dutch Pen Show at the Van der Valk Hotel in Utrecht Nieuwegein on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026. But I ended up right in the heart of Utrecht city center during PRIDE Utrecht. The atmosphere among the LGBTQ community was good. Only the weather didn't cooperate; it was raining. Upon entering StayOk Hostel Centrum Utrecht at Neude 1, I received tremendous assistance. I was provided with a key card. The common room was neat and clean. I had booked the room/communal room well in advance. A mixed room. I wasn't really bothered by my roommates. We hardly spoke. I had room 201. That means on the 2nd floor in bunk bed number 1. That was the top bunker. It was quite high. The steps of the stairs were quite far apart. A bit scary. I received a free locker to put my suitcase, a weekend bag, and my handbag in. I brought a lock and key from home to store my belongings safely. You could also rent a locker, but that cost you 2 euros rent, but you had to provide the lock and key yourself. I had forgotten to ask about the Wi-Fi on day 1. It wasn't until day 2 that I dared to ask for the Wi-Fi with the password. Because I wanted to stay for another day after that, I booked another day after having made that decision within half an hour of my first booking. That resulted in me ending up on the 5th floor, room 502. I had no problems with my roommates there. Nice people. In both rooms 201 and 502, I had a view of the square at Neude 1. Great view. The shower head spray water was good. I enjoyed it. The toilet was clean. The bed and bedding were clean and fantastic; I slept well. I did not make use of the 10% discount on the welcome drink. I also did not use the restaurant next to the reception for dinner or the 10 euro breakfast. I did buy a Subway for lunch/dinner under 11 euros. That was exactly across from StayOk Hostel Centrum Utrecht. I actually wasn't hungry those 2 days. Too overwhelming, too many impressions.

We asked weeks in advance if we could check into the Miffy family room earlier so our daughter could go to bed in the afternoon: they said it probably wouldn't be a problem since these rooms are often cleaned first and they would add the request to our booking. Then, on the day itself, we called again around 12 pm, but it turned out the request hadn't gone through and the room wasn't ready yet. Afterwards, we asked at reception what was possible; at first, no options were available, we asked for a temporary room, then they started cleaning the room with priority but said it would take half an hour to 45 minutes... we waited anyway, and the room was ready after an hour (2 hours after calling one more time). It is very disappointing regarding this service, where a relatively simple request is handled in this way.

Perfect location, right in Neude, and close to a supermarket, shops, and everything you could need. Very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the beds don’t have curtains so limited privacy.

Very central location. Friendly and attentive staff. Clean facilities, although I would only recommend offering pods in the future (personally, I sleep better in them). Delicious, diverse breakfast buffet, good value for money. All in all, glad I gave Stayokay Utrecht a chance!

Really nice place, I felt so comfortable there, is in the center, so the location is also perfect if you want to do tourism per Utrecht. Definitely I will return.
