Skopje Pride 2026
About This Event
Skopje Pride happens every June. It's North Macedonia's annual LGBTQ+ visibility event, running since 2019.
The day starts with a march through Skopje's city center. Then there's cultural programming: music, speakers, and community celebration.
North Macedonia doesn't legally recognize same-sex relationships. EU accession negotiations are still happening. So each Pride isn't just a party. It's a political statement, a declaration about the kind of society North Macedonia's LGBTQ+ people are building.
About 1,000 people should show up for the 2026 edition. That number reflects the Skopje LGBTQ+ community's growing confidence and visibility. If you're queer and visiting the region in June, time your trip to hit Pride. It's a good way to meet local people.
