About this place Hotel Victoria Szczecin

Hotel Victoria is a mid-range hotel on Plac Batorego, right by Szczecin Główny railway station and below the old town. It is a mainstream hotel that welcomes gay guests, not a gay venue. Google reviewers rate it 4.1 from nearly 1,000 reviews, so expect a dated but convenient stay. The station location is the main reason to pick it: trains from Berlin arrive a few minutes away, and the castle and riverside are a short uphill walk.

This little hotel could be perfect. It has full potential. The atmosphere is incredible. And the proximity to the train station. Inside, there are beautiful photos of old Szczecin. It would be great if someone could improve a few things a bit. Because minor flaws are turning the hotel into a neglected version of itself. 1. Poor breakfast. Stale rolls, everything cheap, even the tomatoes tasteless. No espresso coffee, only drip coffee. Miniature tea cups (inconvenient). 2. Guests smoke on some kind of interior patio, which causes smoke to blow in through the open door. It's quite disgusting. And the hotel has a smoking ban. 3. In a very pleasant room, there's only one wardrobe door. Where did the other one go? The windows can't be closed properly. The blinds aren't sufficient. And besides, they don't fit these elegant interiors at all. And the lack of a hairdryer, which surprised me. 4. No kettle in the room, no glasses, just some plastic cups. I was given a very used kettle and a cup at reception. But since the restaurant closes at 8:00 PM, where are you supposed to get something to drink if you've just arrived? I hope it gets better, because I'd love to stay there again!

The location is probably the best thing about the hotel. The room was large, but it smelled of smoke, the furniture was worn, the beds were separated, and the bathroom was only suitable for very slim people. The room, facing the small park, was plagued by street noise and tram noise. The breakfast was the worst I've ever had in a hotel. The staff was friendly.

A very pleasant stay at the hotel, with friendly, professional service. The rooms were very clean, the food was delicious, and everything made you feel at home.

The room was functional and clean. Good central location, yet quiet! Very good breakfast. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
