About this place People Lounge

People Lounge is a gay bar at Carrer de Villarroel 71, in the Gaixample, Barcelona's gay district in the Eixample. It is bigger than most bars in the area and deliberately quieter: the soundtrack leans toward jazz and show tunes rather than club music, and the crowd is mostly 30 and over. It is a place where you can sit and talk. It works well as an early-evening stop before the louder bars on Consell de Cent and Casanova, or as a whole night out if you don't want a dance floor. Check the website for current opening times, since Barcelona bars often change their hours by season.

I went on Saturday and it was packed. The owner was out of his mind, there were drunk people, it's a shame the management doesn't know how to run a business, and at 00:30 they were still serving drinks.
