Fresh and well-cooked fish. The only downside is that it's very noisy. Conversation was difficult. I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped.

A superb culinary offering in the Gothic Quarter, its entrance counter, displaying the day's freshest catch (which often includes select Palamós prawns), is a showcase that alone promises a truly enjoyable experience. Additionally, owner and chef Samuel Soria recommends (and in our case, quite rightly so) daily specials, always based on market-fresh ingredients. Beyond the undeniable star power of their fresh fish and seafood, dishes like the "Scallops with crispy pork belly" and their spectacular "Eel Brioche" are must-try highlights. This seafood restaurant offers excellent value for money (and also features carefully prepared meats), making it a highly recommended choice for any food lover.

Unbeatable!!

I’ve spent years seeking out exceptional seafood, and very few meals genuinely surprise me anymore. Today, six members of my chosen family in Barcelona brought me to Somsis to celebrate my birthday. Fourteen courses later, I realized I had just experienced the finest seafood meal of my life. There were no unnecessary flourishes or culinary theatrics. Just extraordinary seafood of remarkable quality, prepared with complete confidence and restraint. Every course allowed the ingredients to shine, and the result was seafood that was purer, more expressive, and more delicious than I would have thought possible. The hospitality was every bit as memorable as the food. The owner and staff don’t simply serve you, they draw you into the experience. They’re warm, witty, playful, and delightfully mischievous, knowing exactly when to tease you and when to let the next course speak for itself. Això també és Barcelona. By the end of the meal, it felt less like dining in a restaurant and more like celebrating in the home of friends who happen to be extraordinary hosts. The dining room has that same spirit. Intimate, energetic, and full of joy. My only complaint is that it isn’t twice the size. Great restaurants serve wonderful food. The rare ones permanently change the standard by which you’ll judge every meal that follows. Somsis did that for me.

Locally sourced produce and excellent service! A great dining experience

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance because I was craving seafood, and honestly, every single dish I ordered was delicious. If you're wondering where to eat in the area, I highly recommend it. The clams and eel were both fantastic, and although I wanted to try the shrimp, I was too full, so I plan to visit again to give it a try!

It's undoubtedly the best restaurant in Barcelona. They have exceptional food and impeccable, friendly service; they make you feel right at home. It's a sure bet, we'll be back!
