Alicia Rocafull presents 'Cuando dolía', an autobiographical account of trauma, mental health, dissociative identity disorder, and personal reconstruction.
Written from her own experience, the author addresses fragmentation, diagnosis, and the search for self-identity through an intimate and direct narrative. The book also seeks to bring us closer to a reality that is still little known and to foster understanding and empathy towards those who live with complex trauma and dissociation processes.
The presentation also has a special connection to Bilbao. About 15 years ago, Alicia and her wife ran La Roussberia, a lesbian bar in the city. Bilbao is also part of her memories and has a presence in the book.
