HOTEL CALP
Visitors frequently praise Hotel Calp for its excellent, central location close to the beach and restaurants, as well as its cleanliness and good value. However, a recurring complaint is inconsistent hot water in the showers, with some guests experiencing cold water, particularly when the solar-powered water heater is affected by weather. Some also mention issues with room maintenance, such as shower screens and toilet seats.

Very good location have stayed many times
Nice clean hotel near the city
We booked the room through Booking.com for four days in May, a month with unpredictable weather. Our surprise came when we went to take the showers. Of the four days, we showered with cold water every day, and two of those days with lukewarm water that cooled down after five minutes. Furthermore, the shower screens came apart when we tried to close them, causing water to leak and soak the floor. This was made worse by the fact that it was raining, and the showers were heated by solar panels. All of this happened in May, a month when the hotel was at low occupancy. The location is also terrible. There's hardly any parking in the area, and it's surrounded by a busy gas station and a fish market whose air conditioning units blow directly onto the building's facade. Locals described it more as a hostel than a hotel.
We booked a room through Booking.com for four days in May, and the weather wasn't always good. Our surprise came when we went to shower. Of the four days, we only had hot water twice and cold water twice, and those two days happened to be stormy, because the water heater runs on solar panels. This was during a month when the hotel was at low occupancy. Furthermore, the location is far from ideal.
