Playa Rompeculos

The beach is very wide and long. It lacks amenities such as lifeguards, restaurants, showers, and restrooms, but this is normal for a wild beach. Pets are allowed; we had no problems as all the dogs were supervised by their owners. There is a nudist area to the left of the beach. Access to the beach might be the only drawback, as it's a bit of a walk.

Very bad experience... We arrived at 7:45 PM (parking is free after 8:00 PM). The man at the entrance of the parking lot closest to the downhill path leading to the beach area charged us. He saw us with the dog, and after we went down the hill, the police told us we couldn't have the dog. They politely offered us a refund, so we went back up (we were at the top at 7:55 PM). The same guy who charged me then told me he couldn't give me a refund and that I should go to Torre del Loro, where parking is free and the ticket is valid (it's free after 8:00 PM). A very bad experience...

Parking costs €3 in high season, and is free the rest of the year. There's a large parking area, but arrive early in summer as it tends to fill up quickly. A 500-meter wooden boardwalk leads down to the beach, with a slight incline. The beach itself is fantastic, with many kilometers of sand on both sides. The left side is a nudist beach. The water is murky, like all the beaches in Huelva; it's not rocky, has significant tides, and there are no beach bars, restaurants, or restrooms. You'll need to bring everything you need.

Rompeculos Beach, in Huelva, is a pristine paradise in the heart of Doñana National Park. Surrounded by impressive golden sand cliffs and fossilized dunes, it stands out for its wild beauty, its extensive coastline, and absolute tranquility, ideal for connecting with nature.

I visited in June 2026. It's a wide, expansive beach, quite peaceful compared to others. This is because it doesn't have beach bars, restrooms, or other facilities. Just the sea, the sand, and you. This makes it a cleaner beach than usual. And it's perfect if you want to avoid crowds. It's also a dog-friendly beach. There's also a nudist area. The sand is yellow with some shells, but quite suitable for walking. Playful waves. There was no seaweed when I was there. The only drawback is that to get there from the parking lot, you have to walk along a wooden boardwalk of approximately 300 meters. Be careful if you're carrying a lot of luggage.
