Hotel Playa Park

We were very satisfied with the 4R Playa Park Hotel. The hotel is clean, tidy, all the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and varied, we found something to our liking every day. The rooms are comfortable, the pool and common areas are well maintained. The location of the hotel is excellent, the beach and the attractions of the area are easily accessible. We would love to return, we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in Salou.

The buffet food was awful, not only in taste but also in quality. It made all the guests I was traveling with sick; I ended up vomiting myself and had to stay in bed for a whole day without being able to eat anything. I even found a worm in a plum that was clearly rotten. Furthermore, there was absolutely no respect or trust shown to young people. The staff were very condescending. As for the cleaning staff, they were the best—very pleasant and understanding.

Overall, I have nothing to complain about regarding the facility itself or the service. The only thing that bothered me, and this applies to all of Spain, was the lack of designated smoking areas. Sitting by the pool, some of us with small children are at risk of inhaling nicotine smoke. Unfortunately, smokers don't consider that not everyone wants to poison themselves, especially small children.

I’ll start with the positives - the rooms are lovely and clean - housekeepers do an amazing job. I agree however with Alice’s review a few below there are huge amounts of young students at this hotel- it feels like peak summer holiday season even though it’s only June. There were huge groups of up to 100+ students throughout our stay. If I knew this prior we wouldn’t have booked.
